Today we announced that Arcade has raised $12M in funding led by Laude Ventures, the fund started by Perplexity co-founder Denis Yarats.
The Problem We Are Solving
Most AI agents today are demos. They can do impressive things in controlled environments, but they cannot do real work because they lack the ability to securely act on behalf of users across multiple services.
Think about what you do every day: you read emails, update spreadsheets, send Slack messages, create calendar events, review PRs. Each of these requires authentication and authorization. Current agents either:
- Ask you to paste in API keys (insecure)
- Only work with one service (limited)
- Require complex setup for each user (does not scale)
SSO for AI Agents
We are building what we call SSO for AI Agents. Just like single sign-on lets you log into multiple services with one identity, Arcade lets AI agents securely access multiple services on your behalf through standard OAuth.
The key insight is that authorization is not just about security - it is about enabling agents to actually be useful. Without proper auth, agents are stuck in sandboxes.
What is Next
With this funding, we are:
- Expanding our tool catalog
- Building out enterprise features
- Growing the team
